Union offices were held in home of the Business Manager. Original members numbered 18. Union Scale was $0.80 per hour. (.90) Fred Lewis was the first Business Manager. Charlie Frost was the next Business Manager and he also worked out of his home. Then offices were set up over the old bus station on Seventh Street, Parkersburg, WV. This was the old Strong Building across from the Uptowner Inn. The next Business Manager was Edgar Crislip and the scale was $1.58. Secretaries under Crislip were Betty Davis and Ruth Kintzer Miller. Union offices were located in the old Camden Home, alias the Camden Clark Memorial Hospital at 615 Ann Street from 1947 – 1959. The next Business Manager was Walter Hill. Ruth Kintzer Miller was still the secretary at the Ann Street location. Union offices were moved into a new Union Hall located on 1406 ½ 13th Street, Parkersburg, WV in 1959. This hall is still in existence at this present time. Beryl Ward became the next Business Manager and Ruth Kintzer Miller continued as Secretary. Union offices were still located on 13th Street. Norman P. Fury was the next Business Manager and Ruth Kintzer Miller as secretary. Offices were still located on 13th Street. Mary Ann Danser became the next secretary. John D. Elliott became the following Business Manger with Mary Ann Danser as secretary. Union offices were still on 13th Street. The construction of a new union hall began in August 1978. The new union hall was built on the old Meredith Property at Cedar Grove, Rt. 47 – near Parkersburg Community College. Actually moved into the new office on May 1, 1979. Members totaled 372 and the scale was $13.53 per hour. As of August 1984 the Charter is 50 years old. The 50th Anniversary was celebrated with an open house hosted by our Ladies Auxiliary No. 149 of the Pipefitters Local 565. Membership was 360 and the scale was $19.86 total package and $16.94 take-home. Gary Logston was elected Business Agent in 1991 but tragically passed away before assuming office. Randy Henderson was elected in 1992 and Kris Casto became the secretary in 1993. John Miller was elected as Business Manager in 1994. In 1996 the West Virginia State Apprenticeship Contest was held in Parkersburg. In November of 1999 a new weld shop was delivered. In June of 1999 Terry Smith was appointed as Business Agent/Organizer. In May 2002 the West Virginia State Apprenticeship Contest was again held in Parkersburg. In January of 2007, Gary Yarnell was elected as Business Manager. In April of 2015, the West Virginia State Apprenticeship Contest was held in Parkersburg and once again in 2016.
